Magento support and maintenance.

We keep your Magento 2 store patched, upgraded, hosted and monitored on a monthly retainer. One team covers the code and the server, so every failed deploy or slow page has one owner.

What the retainer covers.

  • Security patches and upgrades. Magento patches and version upgrades run on a staging copy first. You sign off before customers see them. Our Magento upgrade guide shows the kind of work involved.
  • PHP and services in support. PHP, the database, Redis and OpenSearch stay on versions that still get security fixes. We plan each move around Magento's own requirements.
  • Hosting and deploys. We run the store on AWS, a VPS or a dedicated server. Scripted deploys and a staging copy come with it. See how a scripted Magento deployment works.
  • Monitoring as code. New Relic alerts, dashboards and notifications live in Terraform next to the store's code (our New Relic Terraform setup). We review what the monitoring costs too (New Relic pricing on Magento).
  • Fixes and small changes. Bugs, extension conflicts and small features come out of the hours reserved for you each month.

Upgrades and migrations.

An upgrade is the most common reason a store needs outside help. Regular support for Magento 2.4.6 ended on 11 August 2026, and Magento Open Source 2.4.6 gets no more security patches (Adobe lifecycle policy). Our Magento upgrade service moves the store, its extensions and its PHP version together. Each step runs on staging, and you sign off before production.

A move to new hosting follows the same path. We build the new server, run the store on it as staging, and switch DNS once you approve. Moving from Magento 1 or another platform is a larger project. We scope it after an audit, so the quote rests on your catalogue and your integrations.

If the store is slow before or after an upgrade, a Magento performance audit finds the cause. Custom work that goes beyond maintenance runs through our Magento 2 development service.

How support starts.

01

Audit

We review the code, the extensions, the server and the open upgrades. You get a ranked list of findings.

02

Onboarding

We set up staging, scripted deploys and monitoring as code. Access and documentation stay with you.

03

Monthly routine

Patches, upgrades and fixes run from the reserved hours. Every change goes through staging first.

04

Your exit, any time

You own the code, the Terraform and the deploy scripts. Pause or end the retainer and take them with you.

Who this fits.

This fits merchants already on Magento 2 who need a developer on the store every month. The work covers patches, upgrades, integrations and the server underneath. Agencies that want a Magento team behind their own name are welcome too.

Self-hosted Magento needs a budget for ongoing developer support. If that budget is not there, a SaaS platform costs less to run. Our Magento vs Shopify check helps you decide.

Questions, answered.

What does Magento support and maintenance include?
Security patches and version upgrades tested on staging, PHP and service versions kept in support, hosting and deploys, New Relic monitoring set up as code, and fixes from the hours reserved each month. The exact scope goes into the retainer before work starts.
How much does Magento support cost?
Retainers start from $2,000 a month for reserved development hours. Most stores start with an audit from $1,500, which shows what the store needs before you commit. See engagements and pricing for the three ways to work with us.
Do you offer managed Magento hosting?
Yes. We set up and run the server and the deploys on AWS, a VPS or a dedicated server. You own the code and get the documentation and access whenever you ask.
Do you offer a Magento upgrade service?
Yes. An upgrade runs as a fixed-price project or inside a retainer. Each one goes through a staging copy and a sign-off before production. Regular support for Magento 2.4.6 ended on 11 August 2026 (Adobe lifecycle policy).
Can you take over a store from another agency?
Yes. We start with an audit of the code, the extensions and the server. Then we move deploys and monitoring to a setup you own. The audit report is yours to keep, whether or not a retainer follows.
How fast do you respond?
A retainer includes a priority response window. New inquiries get a reply within 1 business day from Taipei (UTC+08:00).
