See how your page title and meta description look in Google — with length guidance.
Why title and description length matter
Google truncates page titles and meta descriptions that run too long, replacing the rest with an ellipsis — and a cut-off snippet is a weaker click magnet. As a working guide, titles read best at roughly 60 characters and descriptions at around 155, though Google measures pixels rather than characters, so the exact cut-off varies. This tool gives you a live character count with colour-coded meters: green while you’re in range, amber as you approach the limit, red once you’ve gone over.
Everything updates as you type and runs entirely in your browser — your draft copy is never sent anywhere or saved. Use it to tighten a single landing page, or to sanity-check titles before you push a batch of products live.
