What this WebAR test actually checks

In-browser AR (sometimes called WebAR) lets shoppers place a product to scale in their own room straight from a product page — no app download. Whether it runs comes down to the device and browser. This tool reads three signals locally: whether you’re on a mobile device, whether the screen accepts touch input, and whether the browser exposes the WebXR API. Everything is evaluated on your device; nothing is sent anywhere or saved.

As a rule of thumb, recent iPhones and iPads (iOS 12+) and most Android phones from the last few years handle the “view in your space” camera mode well. Desktops can still run the 3D viewer, but the live camera placement needs a phone or tablet.
